Happy Easter

Happy Easter Sunday to all! Thankfully the kids sleep well from being exhausted from the travelling. They played with the wheelbarrows and sandbox toys that Great Aunt Elaine and Great Aunt Norma gave them. Thank you! This morning all three decided to use them as chairs. They are the perfect size!

After a quiet morning the hectic part of the dy began. First getting all of us cleaned and dressed as well as packing up to go home. Somehow we did manage to get to Easter lunch in time. The kids were able to give Great Grandpa Pluemer the pictures they had colored for him and well as dish out some high fives. We ate lunch and then it was play time. Zach had no problem joining the other kids running around, soon Liz joined them. Alex played too. After everyone was done it was time for hunting eggs. Thanks to Sherri and Great Aunt Christine there was an egg hunt for the kids. Great Aunt Julie helped Zach, I helped Liz and daddy helped Alex. The one bad thing is can't get pictures of everyone, but my camera does have a pretty good zoom, so I was able to catch some moments from a far.

After the egg hunt it was time to change from dress clothes to comfy clothes for the ride home. We had again pushed the kids an hour past naptime. They held out very well. We had a GREAT time!
Then it was back in the car to head home. The kids crashed pretty hard and got a pretty good nap in, so that made it possible to stop at my parents. They had held off the egg hunt in case we were able to get there in time. This hunt was different then the rest...empty eggs (which is just fine). The girls rocked by both getting 22 eggs, while the boys came in with 15 & 17. No prizes just the fun of the hunt (for both kids and adults). This time I had Alex, daddy had Zach and Auntie Jackie helped Liz.

Time to go in and count our eggs...
Funny little note...most of the eggs ended up in the living room getting tossed in the air. Thanks to Uncle Momo. The kids had a blast doing it AND nothing got broken. After another big meal, it was time to change into jammies and head home. The kids crashed hard (as did mommy and daddy).
Thanks to both of our families for all they did for us and the kids. We had a great Easter!
