Down on the Farm

Today we were on our own for much of the day. After breakfast we decided to head down to the farm to watch Papa planting corn. The kids also got to meet there first baby kittens, only weeks old. They also checked out the cows, sat on the tractor and helped Papa fill the planter with fertilizer. Here are some pictures from the adventures on the farm...the kids just loved it!
Zach sitting on Papa's tractor...
Liz checking out the tractor...
Alex and daddy sitting on the tractor...
Papa pulled out the kittens for the kids to see...think Liz is thinking this one is a good one to go home with us...
Zach is partial to the orange one (me too Zach)...the kids were very gentle and even helped put the kitten back by picking them up and handing them to Papa.
Liz and Zach checking out what the cows are doing...
Alex was very happy with his corn stalk....
Papa do you need some extra hands...how about 6 of them?
Zach and Liz actually start putting the empty buckets back to be refilled...they are little helpers.
Zach watching Papa planting...
Liz looking to see how it is done...
Was not fast enough to catch Alex watching...
Future rock pickers???
Little Miss Independent lead us back from the field....
She did stop to smell the flowers though...
Zach making a bee-line for the cows...
Alex checking out the corn...making sure it is suitable for Papa's cows...lol
The corn crib has some sort of pull to our kids...first thing they go to and...
...last thing they go too...we again brought some corn back to the house...go figure..lol.

The kids had a great time being at the farm. Mommy and daddy love seeing them use energy...makes for good naps...lol.
Love, Jen
