Heavy Hearts

Don't worry the kids are fine!!! Unfortunately today we put our beloved Samantha to sleep. Samantha has been ill for a few months. We had many tests run and many rounds of medication administered, but last week Samantha was diagnosed with Cushings Disease (a tumor in the pituitary or adrenal gland). This is an uncurable disease but can be managed with medication if the dog is otherwise healthy. Unfortunately Sam had other things going on, so treatment would not gain us a whole lot of time. Sam started to go downhill very quick and just could not hold on anymore. She was great with the kids and will be greatly missed. She will join our beloved Doris (unknown-12/21/06) at the Rainbow Bridge (http://www.indigo.org/rainbowbridge_ver2.html). We will meet up with them again someday. We love you Sam!!!

In Loving Memory
They will go quietly, the pets who've shared our lives. In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives. Old habits still can make us think we hear them at the door. Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor. Our feet still go around the place the food dish used to be, And, sometimes, coming home at night, we miss them terribly.
