Buzzzzzzzz

With a trip out of town fast approaching, we did some haircuts. Last night mommy cut daddy's hair and tonight the kids were up. First I buzzed Zach again and then decided the only way I will find out if Alex looks good buzzed too was to do it. It is only hair and will grow back, so Alex took his place...here is the before....
...and the after...with his hair being tinner and lighter the bizz cut made it look like he was bald again. We do like it and will probably keep it like this for now.
Well the haircuts did not stop there. After I finished with Alex, Liz turned her back to the sink, asked for up and said my turn, my turn. I was planning on doing anything to her hair so I was a little unprepared. So at first I was just going to pretend...then figured I could use the hair trimmer on her bangs...so she got a very small haircut...
My next job beautician??? Ok not really...it is tougher than it looks, that is what we buzz only...lol.

We WON!!!

There are a few fellow families with triplet blogs that I follow. One of them the mommy has started a business from home. When I check her personal blog then I also check her business blog. She was doing a giveaway of bows, so I entered. I never win anything! Low and behold we won! I finally put one in and took some pictures. Liz was not the most enthused about it and it did not stay in long. With her hair getting longer and longer, I am able to do more. See she can be a girlie girl.

So here is our diva later in the day...yes she is stuck under the chair...isn't she just so precious!
Hope you enjoyed!

Candids

It has been two weeks since I have done photos and updates, so a good place to start is some candid shots from the past two weeks. I put a total of 11 posts so you will have to hit 'older posts' at the bottom to see them all. Last one is 'Look at me' post.
Roxy wanted to get comfy. so she jumped into on of the kids chairs. They absolutely hate when she does this. Usually they tell her to get out and try to push her out, but this time Zach decided to get cozy wit her...she looks thrilled, doesn't she?!?!
Liz LOVES to swing. When we first go out to the playyard tis is what she does for awhile before getting down to play. Here she is looking back at me while swinging.
Boys taking a break from playing for a morning snack outside...gotta dig the shades!
Our little cowgirl...helping mommy with supper.
One pair is just not enough for Zach.
Zach looking innocent, but what he is really doing is playing in the dirt and getting dirty! :)
Alex checking out what to play with next.
Liz attempting a sommersault...
and Zach copying. Monkey see, monkey do!
The gang wrestling/playing with couch cushions/giggling.
Zach chillin'.
Zach trying a small dog water dish on as a hat.

Cleaning the playyard

We have been trying to get outside every chance we get...if the weather would be a little more consistant it would help. On Friday the 17th it was beautiful outside. After daddy got home from work mommy started supper as he put the kids to work...cleaning their playyard. Daddy would do the raking and then the kids would take their shovels and dump it into the wheelbarrow.
Here they are working hard...at least the boys are...Liz is perfecting the supervisor role...lol!
Zach making a trip to the wheelbarrow.
Alex taking a large shovel full...easy does it...
and dumping...about half went in.
Even with their little shovels and some missed shots into the wheelbarrow they did complete the task. They LOVE helping daddy.

Shopping anyone?

As most of you probably know, I love rummage sales. Well I also love Craigslist (CL). While the kids were napping I was checking CL and found a tricycle and a shopping cart...I emailed the seller and made an offer...within an hour of posting the ad, it was sold...to me! After the kids woke from their nap we made a little trip across town to pick them up...we did end up with more things as the seller had more toys to sell. The kids were outside so they did not get play until after dinner and before bathtime. They love pushing each other around, even though sometimes it has me cringing.
Liz watching Alex trying to get Zach over the small bump between the kitchen and dining room...
Alex pushes Zach away from the door...
Zach pulling Alex away from the cabinet he just pushed him into...

Daddy duck

Ever seen a momma duck with her babies following her...here is the daddy version with triplets...

A new beginning

Saturday the 18th after I got home from work and the kids woke up we headed outside. Only problem we had is they wanted to be with daddy and helping him rather then in the playyard. Jeremy was working on transplanting some tress in our yard, so they joined in. I swear Jeremy could have spent the day just walking back and forth across the yard and they would have followed, no questions asked.
Here they are following daddy to get the second tree...note that everyone is carrying something.
Them watching daddy dig the tree out of the peonies...
Alex was in charge of the tree...
Zach insisted in carrying a rake even though it was not needed...
Liz was dragging the shovel...
Although it took longer than it would have f daddy did it himself...it was so nice to watch the kids help.
First you have to dig a whole...
then you plant the tree and put dirt back in...
and after watering the tree you get to wash your hands in the leftover water.
These kids were dirt from head to toe and loving every minute of it. We transplanted three trees that afternoon...the kids had a hand in them all.

Crazy Drivers

These kids just go nuts when they have only a diaper on (or are naked). They keep us laughing all the time. Tonight their craziness was with the ride on toys. Around and around they went. Just giggling. I have some of these episodes on tape and maybe one day I will load one on here cuz the pictures just don't do it justice.
Alex (he gave imself bruised ankles with the crazy driving he was doing)
Liz laughing (probably cuz her shades are upside down)
Zach with his shades

4 times....

Four times the playing...

Four times the resting...

four times the time outs...lol.
The first picture of the kids playing the sandbox for the first time this year. It was still pretty wet but I finally gave in and let them play...we ended up with sand EVERYWHERE.
The second picture is what it looks like to have all four of them lay down. This has been happening alot in the morning where one will say nite-nite and go lay on the couch which leads to them all doing it. They never sleep and it does not last long, but cute none the less.
The finally picture is what it looks like to have them all in time-out at once. Yes they were all naughty and needed to sit. I know, I am big meanie!

Lunch Outdoors

This last Friday I decided to take the kids outside a little close to lunch time, so I decided to serve lunch outside for the first of probably many times. The kids enjoyed it immensely!
Alex and Liz
Zach and Lexi

Bathing babies

The kids have recently shown a LOT of interest in their babies. I decided to move the baby center from Liz's room to the playarea downstairs. The babies have even worn some of the clothes the kids use to wear. On Saturday I decided to try an activity that I got from another triplet mommy. Due to being stuck in the house that mommy got out some tupperware bowls and had her kids give the stuff animals baths...so I did the same with the kids and their babies. I kept the hospital tubs that we had (first bathtubs for our kids...seemed appropriate). I got some of the extra washclothes we have and the kids went to town with the idea.
Liz washing her baby...
Alex using the washcloth more like a blanket...
Zach wondering where the water is...
The boys...
All of them...

Fun in a sheet

Sunday night the kids had us laughing pretty hard. They were just plain goofy...not surprising with being stuck inside do to all the rain. The kids had helped me all day with doing laundry. After they were in their jammies I went to change the loads again. Jeremy was finishing cleaning up supper. Zach helped me put the towels in the dryer and then was about to help me with putting the sheets into the washer...when a great idea popped into his head...to wear the sheet...the other two caught on fast. Before I got the dryer button pushed they were all walking around in the sheets - Liz had the 2 pillowcases, Alex had the bottom sheet and Zach had top sheet. When I asked them to bring the sheets to me both Liz and Alex returned theirs, but Zach was not as helpful. He began hiding under it, then Alex went to "help" get it away from him, which turn into wrestling with the sheet and each other. I caught it on video as Jeremy got a couple shots with the camera. Still cannot explain why we have toys as laundry baskets, boxes, magnets, brooms and sheets will satisfy these guys.
Love, Jen

Look at me!

So we all know I am addicted to taking pictures...well I think the kids have caught on. Sunday night after the sheet incident we moved to the living room to relax before bedtime. Liz came up to Jeremy with Mr. Potato Head's teeth...well you can't miss an opportunity when it presents itself, so I took a picture....
Well that caught Alex's attention who proceeded to put Mr. Potato Head's ear in his mouth AND start saying camera, camera, camera....
Zach never wants to be left out so he put Mr. Potato Head's arm in and started following me until I took his picture...
Never a dull moment, ever!

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who sponsored team Lenzendorf Trio for the March for Babies. Although we did not reach our goal of $1500 we did raise $485. I think this is good considering the economy and the many needy organizations. Unfortunately, we did not walk. The wonderful weather caused the 4 mile path to be a muddy mess. We did pack the kids up and headed to the park register and hand in our donations. I was unsure of whether they would still try to walk and if there were pictures done. It was a short trip, but now we know more for next year. Our excitement to do the walk was not enough to keep the rain clouds away. So we hope next year will be better. Thanks again...it is much appreciated!

PS Due to computer issues I have not done a post in a while. I am hoping to get everyone caught up Monday or Tuesday.

March for Babies

April 27, 2007 was "suppose" to be a changing day in our lives that we had waited for...unfortunately that changing day came 10 weeks early (we knew they would be early but not THAT early). February 15, 2007 about 9pm when I was wheeled to labor & delivery began a whirlwind of events and worries that are still very vivid in my memory. We had not even toured the NICU yet or even meet with the Neonatalogist or Anesthesiologist. My Perinatologist was not even on call that night. We were "suppose" to have enough time to do these things yet. But it was not meant to be...my body had other ideas.
On February 16, 2007 our three miracles entered this world via emergency c-section - Alexander weighed 3#5oz, Elizabeth weighed 2#15oz and Zach weighed 2#10oz. This day was not only a changing day for us but the beginning of their fight in the outside world. I could no longer protect them.
I was not able to hold my babies, I barely got to see them before they were whisked away to the NICU. It was roughly 4 hours before I would be able to officially meet my children. They were in isolettes...there were monitors everywhere....there were lines, tubes, wires running everywhere and the noises - something that I will never forget. There is good reason why they want you to tour it before delivery...it is a LOT to take in.
In the following 68 days we would make daily trips to the NICU, learn a new language, build relationships, learn things many things, worry about every time the phone rang and learn about the challenges the kids faced.
April 24, 2007 we came home from the NICU as a family. Although we had a mostly uneventful stay, it is not something I would want to repeat and would not wish upon anyone. Thanks to the many doctors and nurses for the care they provided in the NICU. It did not end there though. We still had things to do after being home like a monitor, weekly nurses visits, medications and some effects from being born premature. Although the road has been long, the kids are doing great!
We were introduced to the March of Dimes because of the kids' prematurity. Their goal is to end prematurity. This year we are participating in the March for Babies to help give back. In less than a week we are walking in honor of our children and for all the other babies that enter this world too early. We need your help. $1 is all it takes to make a difference; $1 is all it takes to give all babies a chance to have a healthy start to life. If you want help and donate just click on the March for Babies widget to the right of this post. If you want to help but cannot donate at this time, please pass the blog address to your friends. If you are in this area and want to join us on the walk just let me know.
We (kids included) thank you for your support!

Another wild week

Well it has been another wild week around here. I have done my best to keep things organized. There are 50+ pictures in the post today. Make sure you click on older post at the bottom to see all of them. The last one is titled 'Cowboys & Cowgirls'. The kids are doing great and had a nice holiday. They are having lots of success with potty training. They are also very good helpers with EVERYTHING. We are looking forward to later this week as the weather is suppose to be very nice...finally! Here is our family picture from Easter. Hope you enjoy the post and pictures.

A walk, a meeting and toybox mayhem

Monday madness...with the weather being not so great, mornings outside are not the best idea, so that means we have to find enough entertainment inside to tire the kids out. That is really what most days consist of...me wearing myself out to tire three (most days four) kids out...I am always on the losing end of this. Anyways, today the kids found things in the house to occupy their time like daddy's motorcycle gloves...Doesn't Alex look tough in them...
or Liz getting good use out of all the sunglasses...I must say the best $1 I have spent. They have a blast with them.
Not only did Zach get use of the sunglasses, but he was making a meal for all of us too. I love that he picked the glasses that matched his outfit...lol.
When the little things start to fail we move onto bigger and better (aka messier) things like the toybox. Not only did it have to come out of its place but it had to be put in the middle of the room and completely emptied. Now the fun does not stop there, oh no...then we climb in and on it. It makes for a great toy...forget about all the toys in it...
They are thinking...'this is a nice hang out'...
After this picture was one of Zach with the cover back on the toybox and him standing on it...I know, I know...shocking, right?!?! LOL
I did come up with a great idea minutes before lunch and insisted it be done...taking the kids for a walk around the yard. Originally I was going to give them buckets to collect things but changed my mind when we became short on time. The key to keeping them all in line and listening while walking is giving them a job. It was their job to hold onto their handle on a piece of yarn. I took a piece of yard and about every 5 feet made a handle. Worked like a charm! This of course will only work until they figure out that holding onto the handle is not as much fun as running the yard in three different directions...

Daddy's dirty laundry

Tuesday night I got out for a dinner with my friend, Carrie. That leaves daddy in charge. Carrie and I try to get out monthly. She is a first time mom too. Her son Luke is 9 months old. So it is nice to share ideas and such with each other. I always make sure that dinner is made so Jeremy does not have to worry about it. Tonight after dinner Jeremy washed the kids up and stripped them down. Apparenty they started playing with one of the laundry baskets and all ended up in it...it is amazing that they all still can fit in there...
He then had them wave to mommy...
I did get home in time tonight before they went to bed. Zach decided to show that he can wear more than one pair of glasses too.

Basketball Hoop

We finally got some better weather and headed outside for the afternoon. As you may notice day to day outerwear can be quite different. One day we need hats, mittens and winter coats, then the next day we are in light jackets and hats...if we are lucky we get a day of just light jackets. Even though it was a tad windy I decided to introduce the kids to their new outdoor toy. Another resale bargain...an adjustable basketball hoop! With the kids growing out of the small toys I am on the search for "big kid" toys...this fits perfectly. I tried to teach the kids to throw the ball up but they wanted to put it in, which they are just not tall enough to do. All in all they did have fun with it. Here is Zach going for a dunk...
Alex attempting a 3 pointer...
and Liz on a lay-up.
As Liz was swinging the boys were doing what boys do best...getting dirty. They are very fond of the dirt around the only tree in the playarea. Here they are collecting little finger-fulls of dirt and putting it in their buckets. When they feel they have enough they dump the buckets...on themselves...lol.
I was taking a break and sitting on the slide landing...Roxie wanted up...I am pretty sure if she could have figured out how to climb the ladder she would have...she likes when I sit down (does not happen often).

Cookin' & Kissin'

So I will start this by telling a story that actually happened overnight Thursday night (actually early Friday morning). The kids have had their crib rails down for quite some time. They can climb in and out on their own. Our form of toddler beds. They are learning about independence and such. The boys don't mind climbing out and do it often...Liz is a more of wait until someone comes and gets me...go figure. So if the boys wake in the middle of the night and need something, they come to our room, my side of the bed and wake me up. Zach had come in about 1:30am and I took him back to his room got him what he needed and headed back to bed. Now let me just tell you this...Zach ALWAYS comes with is blankie (sometimes an animal too) and he normally does not say anything until he is by me. Well "Zach" came back to our room about 3am. He said mommy as he entered our room. I picked him up asked him what he needed and got no answer. Also noted that he did not have the blankie but figured he dropped it along the way. It seemed like he did not lay like he nomally does. So half awake I headed back to his room. We got in there and all of Alex's animals, blankets and pillow were on the floor and no Alex. I panicked. Now remember I totally think I got Zach. I put him down and tell him to stay...I run to our room wake Jeremy up tell him to go sit with Zach and that Alex is missing. I run downstairs...flipping lights on and off everywhere and calling his name. Jeremy finally yells down that he was upstairs. The panic feeling starts to subside. I walk into their room to have Jeremy holding "Zach" (really Alex) and tell me that Zach is in bed. And he was...sound asleep. I was so tired that I did not realize the little signs I should have like no blankie, not answering my question, how he was laying, etc. So for all those mothers that are reading this that have lost a child for a spilt second, I can relate. PURE PANIC! And he was in a locked house, I cannot imagine what it would feel like to have it happen in public. So it is a funny story, but my goodness... pretty sure I took a couple years off my life.
So onto the pictures...as I have mentioned before the kids want to help with EVERYTHING. I cannot cook dinner anymore without three chairs in the kitchen with me and 3 sets of eyes watching my every move. I have found it is easier to just let them watch as they will just climb over the gate if I don't let them out. Save me time actually. So Zach was the only one around when I start dinner tonight, so I let him assist me (try to let them help me do things that are kid appropriate). Here he is helping me...

While I was getting dinner ready, Liz and daddy were playing. When I got back into the living room Liz was saying kiss and then would hold Jeremy's face with her hands and kiss him. It was one of those moments that brings a tear to your eye. I was able to catch her doing it.

Baskets & Bubbles

Lucky for us, the Easter bunny came to our house early. I think he knew we were going out of town. Friday morning the kids came down to their Easter baskets awaiting them. Jeremy also had the day off so he was able to enjoy it with them. Although it made for a not so great breakfast, the kids had a blast. They opened each egg, inspected their new chalk and could not wait for us to open their new bath toys. We also opened their bubble wands which soon became swords or fly swatters. They all decided that they did not want the green grass in the baskets and helped daddy collect it all.

Thankfully it was a warm day so we were able to get out in the afternoon to try out those bubble wands. They caught on pretty darn quick. I am pretty sure the cars driving by were a bit confused but oh well. Here are some pictures of them making bubbles.

Future Farmers

Saturday morning started a whirlwind weekend for us. I worked Saturday morning and we planned to leave town when I got home/before the kids nap time. Most of the day Friday I spent trying to get as ready as I could to limit the amount of things needed to be done Saturday. Well ideas are great until reality hits. Jeremy was not able to get much done while watching the kids and I got home a little later than I expected. Let me just say I was running like a chicken with it's head cut off from the time I got home until I sat in the car to leave. I am normally very organized when we travel as I want everything we need and not to have to worry about things I may have missed, so chaos around leaving sucks. We pushed the kids over an hour past their nap time. The did not sleep the greatest on the ride and were getting quite anxious so we stop at a little park in a little town on the way. Although it was a battle to get them back in the car, it was worth the stop to let them stretch and walk around. When we got into Montfort we headed straight to Papa's farm. The kids got to see the kitties, the calves and the cows. Then papa let them sit on his tractor. I can see a hobby farm or two in the future (papa and grandpa would be proud). They are naturals...

Liz also spent a little moment with papa's farm dog, Shelby.
We could not leave the farm without a treasure of some sort. Alex made sure that he grab a cob of corn not only for himself but for his siblings too. You would have thought we gave them gold. It is the simple things in life! It also work as a nice little bribe to get them back in the car.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter Sunday to all! Thankfully the kids sleep well from being exhausted from the travelling. They played with the wheelbarrows and sandbox toys that Great Aunt Elaine and Great Aunt Norma gave them. Thank you! This morning all three decided to use them as chairs. They are the perfect size!

After a quiet morning the hectic part of the dy began. First getting all of us cleaned and dressed as well as packing up to go home. Somehow we did manage to get to Easter lunch in time. The kids were able to give Great Grandpa Pluemer the pictures they had colored for him and well as dish out some high fives. We ate lunch and then it was play time. Zach had no problem joining the other kids running around, soon Liz joined them. Alex played too. After everyone was done it was time for hunting eggs. Thanks to Sherri and Great Aunt Christine there was an egg hunt for the kids. Great Aunt Julie helped Zach, I helped Liz and daddy helped Alex. The one bad thing is can't get pictures of everyone, but my camera does have a pretty good zoom, so I was able to catch some moments from a far.
Here Liz is collecting all the eggs from the tree trunk...
Alex moving onto a new location...
Zach giving Julie a run for her money...lol
The boys mid-hunt...
Liz searching low...
Alex showing papa all his loot...
Zach searching high (with a little help from Julie)...
Daddy checking out the loot...
After the egg hunt it was time to change from dress clothes to comfy clothes for the ride home. We had again pushed the kids an hour past naptime. They held out very well. We had a GREAT time!
Then it was back in the car to head home. The kids crashed pretty hard and got a pretty good nap in, so that made it possible to stop at my parents. They had held off the egg hunt in case we were able to get there in time. This hunt was different then the rest...empty eggs (which is just fine). The girls rocked by both getting 22 eggs, while the boys came in with 15 & 17. No prizes just the fun of the hunt (for both kids and adults). This time I had Alex, daddy had Zach and Auntie Jackie helped Liz.
Here Zach fends off Alex to get all the eggs inthe garden statue's basket...
Liz planning her next move...
Zach trying to beat Liz to an egg...
Alex fending off the bush to get an egg...
Time to go in and count our eggs...
Funny little note...most of the eggs ended up in the living room getting tossed in the air. Thanks to Uncle Momo. The kids had a blast doing it AND nothing got broken. After another big meal, it was time to change into jammies and head home. The kids crashed hard (as did mommy and daddy).
Thanks to both of our families for all they did for us and the kids. We had a great Easter!

Cowboys & Cowgirls

Yesterday the kids enjoyed one of the many things they got as gifts over the weekend...cowboy hats. Thanks to Aunt Jeanne, Uncle Brent and the girls for the hats...the kids LOVE them! The fit right into their dress-up wardrobe.
Here Liz is hammin' it up as well as vacuuming...lol
Alex looking sharp in the red hat...matches well with his shirt...
Zach also tried the red hat but paired it with the pink sunglasses...
Lexi also joined in the fun...she also choose to pair it with sunglasses but is wearing them upside down. Two peas in a pod!

Only been 10 days, but..

...it seems like it has been longer with all the things that have been happening. Nothing major but the little things add up. Instead of making separate posts to keep things dated and organized (more for me than any of the blog readers), I decided to do one large post with the pictures, stories and when the happened.
Bonding in a bucket
We start out where I left off at the last post...Saturday March 28th. I cannot remember where I went, errands or who knows maybe just in the shower at the time...see this is why I have to blog about everything...my memory has gone buh-bye...anyways, Jeremy was in charge. He snapped some great shots of the kids. He said first the boys hopped in the bucket and were sitting so nice and sharing...
He said then Liz walked over and he was thinking he'd get a good shot of all three of them and then she did it...put her hands on top of the boys heads...you can't plan that stuff.
Laundry Laughs
Sunday morning I was cleaning up after breakfast and Jeremy was helping me out by folding a load of laundry. He was in the kids' playarea which makes folding laundry...well challenging is a good word. When I finished with the kitchen I came in to help distract the kids. This is what I went into...yes that is Zach wearing the laundry...specifically daddy's underwear...around his neck...not shocking, right!
Zach is thinking I got them on easy, how the heck do I get them off...
Liz must have thought it was pretty fun, so she joined in...not a girlie girl at all...kinda hard with two brothers!
She also ran into the same trouble of getting them off...
While mommy's away...grandma will play!
I took some extra hours on Monday to help out at the clinic as they were a little short staffed. That means that Grandma had to watch the kids and Lexi too. I only worked the morning, so I was home just as they were finishing up lunch and getting ready for naps. After they were all down mom gave me the run down of what happened and showed me the pictures she had taken (she knows that the camera is to be used when needed...lol). From the many pictures she had taken, it looked like all had a great morning of playing. One thing that I decided to share was Alex and him so carefully carrying the tea tray w/ accessories. Here he is dressed up in mommy's old scrub top from work. Too sweet!
She also got a great picture of the four of them holding still for just a moment...too bad Alex is not looking up...are they precious or what. Moments like this make the bad moment melt away.
And then you have them return to the crazy two years old that they are...wrestling in the rocker with stuff animals (like 4 kids was not enough). LOL!
New fashion???
Tuesday was nothing special but I got this picture I had to share. Liz is all about breaking every rule about fashion. Here she is trying to start a new fashion trend...wearing cups for shoes. Keeps the toes warm but the heel is left dragging....needs a little work but great thinking!
Ponytail & dress-up
So we tried piggy tails the other day, on Wednesday morning as Liz was eating her cereal I tried a ponytail. It was hard to see in all the pictures I took because it is a smaller "tail" but you gotta start somewhere, right. This is the best one them all. It was not in long, but it did cause Lexi to want piggy tails put in. She says "tails, tails, tails" it is just too cute.
Another thing that is growing in popularity is dress-up. I have given the kids all my old scrub jackets from work. They LOVE them. Here I tried to get a nice group picture...hard to get them to stand still long enough for everyone to look up.
Wally World & Birdies
Thursday morning Jean and I planned a morning of shopping...with all the kids. We asked grandma to come along as an extra set of hands and cart. We went to Walmart and got the groceries for the month. They were extra patient and actually did not want to leave. Grandma got to witness the same type tantrum that happened when I took them out by myself for the first time. We then went to Hobby Lobby, brave place to go with 4 two year olds. We ended up coming out with 3 stuffed Easter ducks and one chicken. Then we HAD to go home, we had pushed enough.
So after a very short nap, I booted the kids outside for a little bit. I came in to get dinner defrosting. The kids were doing fine so I did not rush. The last time I checked on them Zach and Liz had their mittens off but it was not terribly cold so I did not rush out. When I did get out there Liz was saying "quack, quack, quack"...I assumed it was due to the stuffed ducks we had gotten earlier. As I unlocked and opened the gate, I looked up at Liz..she was standing by the tree holding what looked like a piece of bark...all the while saying "quack, quack, quack". I get inside the playyard and looked up at her again and realize what she is holding is a dead bird! I ran over to her and quickly removed it from the bear hug she was giving it. That ticked her off! I then got rid of the bird in which Liz screamed the while time "my birdie, my birdie, my birdie". I tried to explain that it was dead and that it cannot be played with...talking about breaking her heart. I brought her into the house and washed her hands thoroughly. It took her some time to get over the loss of her first pet. I told the story to Jean who insisted it be put on the blog as it was too funny not too. Then she of course asked if I got pictures. I did not have my camera on me as it was time to come in AND I did not expect to find her holding a dead bird. It was funny, I can't wait to see what dead animals the boys will find.
Styling Shades
On our trip to Walmart yesterday we found some cheap play sunglasses(a 4-pack). The kids are loving them. So this morning they insisted that I try on a pair. Then everyone wanted up by me, so we took a group picture...cool group, eh?
Elizabeth showing off...
Too cool Alexander...
Relaxing Zachary...
As I made supper, I turned around to see this...Liz trying all the glasses on...
After dinner tonight the kids were a bit riled up. Zach and Alex were trying to hug each other and ended up falling over and began wrestling...Liz saw what was happening and jumped on top. Jeremy ran as fast as he could without injurying himself on toys to get the camera. Monkey pile!!!
First Easter Egg Hunt
This Saturday the 4th was a couple local Easter Egg Hunts. We decided to attend an inside one. It was an early one but luckily the kids were up early. We grabbed there baskets and headed out.
Loaded and ready to go. We kept telling them they were going on an egg hunt, so they kept saying "egg, egg".
We met Uncle Willie, Auntie Jean and Lexi. Grandma came along to take on of the kids, so they could all enjoy it. Group picture...really they are excited...doesn't look like it from this picture. There were A LOT of people and strangers (to them anyways) coming up and talking to me. It was in the grocery store that has the bank branch I use to manage in it. This is also the same store I took them to by myself for the first time.
Here grandma is waiting with Liz for the count down to hunting as well as Jean, Willie and Lexi.
Daddy had Alex...
I had Zach...here he is in the middle of hunting...
Here we are loaded up again with all their goodies. It did not last long but long enough for them to come away with a few eggs and a balloon.
At home we tried our treats and played with our balloons...
Then daddy left to go get us a surprise. Jean and Lexi came to play since Willie went with daddy to help him. Here Lexi is giving Liz a helping push on the swing.
The surprise that daddy went to get the kids was a big kid swingset. I had found a great deal on Craigslist on two swingsets. Since we only need one and grandma mentioned wanting one by her we bought both of them. We were suppose to go get both of them on Sunday but bad weather was *suppose* to be coming thru, so I made arrangements to get one of the two today. Thank goodness I did as the afternoon weather was beautiful, so the kids got a chance to try it all out. They had played on Lexi swingset like this and enjoyed it so we were expecting good reactions. Well we them and many more...I swear the kids went down the slide 50 times each before they even gave a thought to any other toys in the playyard. Here they are in action...climbing up...
and coming down...Alex
Liz....
and Zach.
Since we had originally were going to build their swingset I had picked up three swings at rummage sales last year, so up they went. After wiping them down, they got in them. Liz LOVED to swing, Alex was ok with it but rather go down the slide and Zach preferred to have his feet touching the ground.
So they love it. They have definitely grown out of some of their toys. This summer will be so much fun and I thought last summer was great! It just keeps getting better. Thank you Uncle Willie for helping get the swingsets and helping put them both up. We greatly appreciate it!
Potty of four
This morning I planned to start getting into potty training a little harder as we have decided Monday after Easter will be our goal for biting the bullet and going full swing potty training. The kids have shown interest and this will also let us know who is ready and who may need a little time yet. So pretty much as of Monday the 13th, if you need to find me I will be in the bathroom...LOL! Anyways, so I decided today I would ask more and we would try more to sit. So with Lexi here I have 4...what's one more right...lol! Anyways, here is them all attempting to go "potty". Looks easy right...not so much...I can say I am not looking forward to it and hope they catch on fast, so any good tips...I want to here them.

So that is it. What a week...I have a feeling our lives will only get busier from here or at least that is what other MOMs (Mothers of Multiples) have told me. Can you see a big dry erase board in our kitchen, each kid assigned a color and it being FULL...I can! We are trying to get the kids in a swimming class and a gymnastic class at the local Rec. Dept. this summer as well. I need to do something with all the energy they have, right.

Hope you enjoyed the post and maybe laughed once or twice. Have a great week and a Happy Easter!

Love, Jen
