Lenzendorf Christmas (30+ pictures)

On Saturday Morning we packed up the kids, loaded the truck and headed west to Montfort, WI. We were headed to Nana & Papa's to celebrate Christmas on the Lenzendorf side. With the kids getting older they are able to tolerate a long ride better as well as go longer between meals, so it is less stressful on everyone. They made the trip there and back wonderfully.....no screaming fits (yippy!!!). We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and watched the kids play with cousins. August was the last time they had seen each other. We let all the kids open their presents first. Again the triplets were spoiled! Everyone was so generous. On Sunday Great Grandma Lenzendorf came to see the kids. They had a wonderful time being held by her. We also took another cousins picture, what a difference from the first one.
So this is the end of the triplets first Christmas. It went great. They loved it as did we. Thank you to our families for their generosity.

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to everyone!!! Christmas morning the kids woke up to presents that Santa brought for them. They drank their first bottle of the day and then ate some fruit and oatmeal cereal and then the race was on to open presents. It was a great time for us! Again we got LOTS of pictures and video of the morning. I have some of the pictures below. We spent the day just as a family. We put together a lot of toys, swapped out the ones they are too old for and the ones they are not old enough for yet. Then I separated the toys into two groups to switch on a weekly basis so they don't get bored with them. Alex helped daddy put things together. Today also was a big day for Liz and Alex....they both started crawling. So we now have three movers and shakers.....thank goodness for the baby jail. We cannot leave the room without putting them somewhere safe. It is nice to see them all hitting the milestone. Anyways, enjoy the pictures. We have one more Christmas to go which will be this weekend, so stay tuned for even more pics.

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's

Our Christmas Eve was spent at my parent's house. We had a great time! The kids were dressed in their Christmas outfits. They played with their cousin until it was time to drink their last bottle of the day. The kids drank their bedtime bottle and then we changed them into their Christmas jammies. Then it was present opening time. Unfortunately Alex did not last. While Jeremy video taped the event, I held Alex and Liz & Zach took care of opening their gifts. Grandma and Grandpa spoiled the triplets like grandparents do best. Zach had been working on pulling himself up during the day and perfected it during opening presents. We got it on film and on video. After the kids were done, we put them all down to sleep. They were all beat. Thank you to Grandma & Grandpa; Auntie Jean, Uncle Willie & Alexis; and Auntie Jackie & Uncle Momo for ALL the wonderful gifts.

Can you believe that they are 10 months old?!?!?

Where has the time gone? This last Sunday the trips turned 10 months old. They are growing up so fast. Before we know it they will be one!!! So we still only have one crawler. Liz and Alex are working diligently at it. Alex has all the movements, he just needs to put it all together. Liz is in the rocking stage. All three of them can get to the sitting position on their own. Both Liz and Zach are pulling themselves up on things - not to standing but to kneeling. Liz has pulled herself to a stand off of Jeremy's lap. So they are all becoming more mobile. They are all VERY talkative. The wake up at 6:30 and talk to each other until I bring them downstairs at 7. Both Zach and Alex sit in their cribs. Most of time when we put Zach down for a nap he will sit up for a while and then lay down and fall asleep. It will not be long before he tries getting into Liz's crib. The other day I went to get them from a nap and he was using his crib toy to pull himself up to see what was on the other side. It was so cute esp. since he gave me the 'I'm not doing anything wrong' look. For the last 2 or 3 nights they have slept thru the night with one of them only waking once at about 5. Since the first time they were sick they have been waking throughout the night...just briefly but enough that one of us needs to go in to cover them, put a nuk in or get them out of the corner. So needless to say it has been very nice to not have to stumble down the hall in the middle of the night 2 or 3 times. The kids play together more now. So we are working on sharing. They have had a few toys taken away due to the screaming that they have created. It is great to listen to them make each other giggle.
Trips playing together in the jail on Sunday.

Everyone look up.....
A Christmas update......We are so excited for Christmas this year. It is going to be a blast!!! The other day I let the kids look at the grocery store flyer.....they destroyed it and had a ton of fun doing so!!! If you have every seen a cat play with catnip....that is how Zach was.....he just did not know what to do first. So watching them unwrap their presents will be great fun. Since we now have a family....our holidays will be spent a little different then they were in the past. We will still celebrate the Turner Christmas on Christmas Eve and will still celebrate the Lenzendorf Christmas on a day before or after the holiday (this year will be the Saturday after Christmas). The change is Christmas Day....this will now be the day that our family celebrates the holiday. We look forward to starting a new tradition.
Here are the pics from them looking thru the grocery flyer...not sure if they made the grocery list or not!! :)

A quick update on my niece Alexis, who is 2 weeks younger than the trips. At the beginning of December she started walking, she had just turned 9 months old. She had been standing by herself for a while before that. She has also 2 teeth coming in. She is a sweetie pie! She will also have a blast at Christmas. She is also working on sharing.
A update on Jeremy and me....Jeremy has been working hard. When he has to stay late at work he does not get much time with the kids, so weekends are extremely important to him (and them). I am doing good. Unfortunately my PCOS has re-appeared with a vengance. I will be going to the doctor in January to see if they will put my back on medication to help control it. I will also be seeing a nutritionist to see about possible diet changes. I was so excited to have lost the baby weight plus and am quite disappointed that I have gain some back. Not to mention the holidays are a horrible time to try to lose anything! :) I have worked a few extra days in December, so I will have gotten more time away. Jeremy and I did get out for a night to go to his work Christmas party. So we are doing good.
I will close with this.....although everyone has Christmas wants (wishlists) but there is nothing I need. I have the most wonderful, supportive, loving husband and three beautiful children. My heart is full. They have filled in a void I did not know was that big. In Novemeber 2000, if you would have ask me if I could see myself being a stay at home mom to triplets...I would have thought you were crazy, but now I cannot see having it any other way. We have our good days and our bad days, but we try to make everyday a triplet day.

Exciting few days

Hello everyone. We have had an exciting week and it is ONLY Wednesday!

The week started out with a little experiment. I was feeding the kids their supper (carrots in rice cereal...yum, yum) and had drop a little on the highchair tray of Alex. He immediatley went to put his hands in it, which I try to clean it up before that happens or I end up with a BIG mess, but today something in me said....go for it! So I then put some on each tray for them all to investigate.

Here is Alexander. His method was to cover the whole tray by swiping his hand back and forth. I don't think I saw him even try to pick up any up to put in his mouth. Quite the artist he is.
Here is Elizabeth. Elizabeth not only has a mess on the tray but her face is full of carrots. If you look closely she has some by her left eyebrow. She also believes in using all the space you have, but she tried picking some up.
Here is Zachary. Zachary is a very serious eater. When starting to eat he takes little bites to make sure he likes it. He was very 'clean' with investigating his food. He tried to pick up little finger tips full.
There is a reason why I have not done this before....the mess! The highchairs needed to be cleaned from top to bottom, the chairs needed to be washed, their clothes needed stain remover put on them and they all needed to be clean (at the same time). It was fun to watch them. We will do it again but maybe in a little different fashion.
So cleaning them was the next step. I stripped them all down to their diapers and prepared for bathtime. Normally bathtime is one at a time while the others jump in their jumperoos. I could not do that this time do to the mess I had created.
So in the bath tub we go. It is a good thing they all sit very good in the bathtub. I started with Zach (he is on the right) then Alex (in the middle) and finished with Liz (left side). The only bad thing about this is that I was alone, so by the time I got to Liz Zach was getting chilly. So out they come, one by one, dry them as fast as I could and then..................
put their very cute bathrobes on. Their Great Aunt Nan got the robes for them and they finally fit right. Thanks again Great Aunt Nan. Here are sassy, but clean Liz and Zach.
Ok the diva has had enough with the pictures but the boys seem to like it. Oh well Liz, looks like you will just have to deal with it.
But mommy will dress you first, but the boys don't seem to mind. They are more entertained with the lotion bottle.
Earlier that same day I had all three practicing crawling. Zach is so very close. Alex has got the idea but just needs to put himself in forward gear rather than reverse. Liz is not liking to work and is also in reverse. Here you can see them all....yes Liz back herself under the dining room chair.
Here are the boys enjoying trying to get the camera. Yes I did bribe them with the camera! You know you would do the same. :)
Like I said before Liz backed herself under the chair and she is THRILLED about it!!! That's our diva/princess.
So that was our Monday. How exciting!!! Who knew Tuesday would be even better!!!
Then last night as Jeremy and I we entertaining the kids before their last bottle before bed Zachary decided to start crawling, not army crawling...crawling all four limbs working to get some where. Boy am I in trouble now!!!! We were both very happy that we were both there to see it. It was not caught on film so you will have to take my word for it. That kid is going to be into everything! We are sure that Alex will moving shortly, cuz if one does something they all want to do it. Did we say we love our jail!!!
So today we had a check up at the pediatrician. They are getting so big! They will be 10 months old on Sunday....where has the time gone!?!?!? Here are the details:
Alexander is 18# 12oz, 29 1/2"; he has a little ear infection. Doctor said he looks good. His torticolis is getting better. The doctor thinks he was staying in midline, which is good. If we get approval from Humana for the Pediatric Physical Therapist here in West Bend, then we will have him seen to make sure all is ok or if there are more exercises for us to do with him.
Elizabeth is 16#5oz, 29"; she still has low tone but is doing good. She is all legs so she looks like she is a lot smaller than the boys. Doctor also feels that she looks good.
Zachary is 19#, 29"; he sounded a little congested - doctor feels that is the just a little residue from the cold they just got over. She also said that he looks good. Can you believe he was as small as 2 1/2#....unbelievable!!!
We were told that the schedule we have them on is good. That they are eating and drinking enough. She even mentioned that we should start feeding them 'normal' food. So if we are having spaghetti...they can have spaghetti....now won't that be a mess!!! We will be able to take them off of formula once they hit 1 yr. We have to continue to work on them learning how sippy cups work. We had blood taken today to get a baseline for when we take them off of formula if they will need to have iron supplements. That was fun, NOT!!! We were the talk of the waiting area. Lots of people stopped to see them and there were plenty of people willing to help us. A friend of my sisters works in the lab, Sara. She was such a help and all the woman working there did a great job with all the screaming. Thank goodness they did not have any other shots today or I would be the most hated mother!!!
Today's fun does not end there. Tonight is a Christmas gathering at the NICU. We look forward to seeing the nurses again. Hopefully the kids will sleep good tonight with all the excitement they have had for the day, not to mention the messing with their schedule.
Well that is all for now. I hope you have enjoyed reading about the excitement that has been happening this week in the Lenzendorf household.

November pics

I am on the ball today. Here are November's pictures and it is only December 4th.....holy cow!!! Anyways.....there are a few pictures missing that we will add once we are able to get the the printed pictures to those people in them. November flew by so I am not sure what all happened. We took a trip across the state to see Nana & Papa, Jeanne & Brent & the girls, Great Grandma Lenzendorf, and Great Grandpa Pluemer. Unfortunately, we did not get to see Jeanne, Brent and the girls due to an illness. We missed seeing them and look forward to seeing them for Christmas. We survived while Jeremy was hunting. He ended up with 2 bucks - the second one was worthy of mounting (Jeremy's first deer that will be mounted). Thanksgiving went well. I got out to work a few days, which was nice to get away after over 100 hours straight by myself. And the end of the month ended up with the whole household sick. We are all finally getting over it. Luckily, it was just a cold. It will help build the kids immune system. So there is a review of the month. I hope everyone is doing well. Looking forward to Christmas. Love, Jen

October pictures....finally!!!

Here are some pictures of Zachary during the month of October. So I at least get some pictures posted I figured I would do some of each child and some of them together all in separate post. This way it will just be easier for me to get them posted....finally!!!

So here are pics of Zachary. In the beginning of the month we were working on sitting....by the end of the month we were doing a great job at it. Also in the beginning of the month we were working on starting solids. It went over ok. By the end of the month we had highchairs and a good feeding routine. Zachary is definitely our inquisitive child. He is also the class clown. He definitely keeps us on our toes.
Enjoy.
Jen

Zach loves to play with the bouncers....not sure why but it keeps him entertained.

Baylee was a big help during the learning to sit process...as you can see!
Zach took this hat from his daddy.....already wants to be just like him.

At our follow up at the NICU we got to see our nurses. Gwen was Zach's primary day nurse.
Zach loves to play with his daddy.
"I'm ready to eat mom!!!"

Auntie Jackie took care of Zach while we ran the other two to Urgent Care.

"I'll help you mommy!!!"
Looking good in the new outfit from Great Aunt Donelle

More October pictures....Elizabeth.

Ok here is Elizabeth. She is pure diva!!! We believe she already knows that she is the only girl, not to mention a daddy's girl. She just lights up when he gets home from work. She is a skinny minny. Most pants do not fit her waist....the waist fits good in the 3-6 month but are way too short, so we just have to make sure to pull up her pants. We are working on getting insurance to cover the pediatric physical therapist that happens to be in West Bend, so they can check her on a monthly basis to keep an eye on her tone (she still has a little low tone compared to the boys).
Enjoy.
Jen

Rolling herself up in a blanket.
"I love my daddy!!!"
"Oh that was funny!!!"
"PT is exhausting!!!"

"I love my puppy!"

Believe it or not she posed herself like this...I could not believe it....I could not find the camera fast enough :)

This is her primary day nurse, Joanne, from the NICU.

"Did I tell you I love my daddy!"

"I am exhausted from playing!"
In her outfit from Great Aunt Donelle.

Still more October pics....Alexander

Here is Alex's pictures. He is our thinker....probably going to be a an engineer like his daddy. His stranger anxiety is getting better. He will always be our serious child.
Enjoy.
Jen

"Lucky are you suppose to be up there. I don't think mom will be happy to find you there."

"I like daddy's chair."
"i keep the chair warm when daddy is at work."
Mirror image???

Alex was sleeping when we were visiting the nurse so Judy did not want to wake him. Alex was the only one that had just one primary nurse. The others had a day primary and a night primary. He is a lucky boy. We love Judy.

A new toy...that makes a lot of noise and it does NOT have an off button.....batteries will come out of that soon :)

Having a conversation with Nana.

Looking so handsome in the outfit from Great Aunt Donelle.
